Varun Arjun University Organizes Free Orthopedic Health Camp in Mirzapur Katra, Shahjahanpur

Shahjahanpur, July 26, 2026: A Free Orthopedic Health Camp was organized today, Sunday, July 26, 2026, by Varun Arjun University, Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, at the Rural Health Training Center near Nakhasa Police Station, Miranpur Katra, Shahjahanpur. Free medical examinations were conducted for all patients attending the camp.

During the camp, free blood pressure and blood sugar tests were carried out. All patients received free medical consultation and medicines. Discount coupons for laboratory investigations, CT Scan and MRI were also distributed to those in need of further diagnosis.

The Medical PRO of the college informed that such free camps will be organized every second Sunday to ensure that people from all sections of society in the region continue to receive free medical facilities. He also shared details about the facilities available in the Orthopedics Department.

The department provides treatment for arthritis, joint pain, back pain, sciatica, leg weakness, numbness and tingling in limbs, neck pain, and spinal problems. It also offers treatment for congenital deformities of hands and legs, bone infections, bone TB, and discharge from chronic bone wounds. Advanced procedures like knee and hip replacement are available. All types of fractures are treated successfully with plaster and surgical operations. ICU facilities are also provided at affordable rates.

The PRO further gave information about the Family Health Card issued by the hospital for ₹200, valid for one year. With this card, OPD registration is free, patients get 20% discount on medicines and all investigations, and admission file charges are waived. An additional 20% discount is also available on medicines.

The camp was conducted by Dr. Dalveer Rawat, Orthopedic Specialist, along with his medical team, paramedical staff, and Medical Social Worker Jitendra Gangwar from the Medical College.
