Dr. (Col.) Ravindra Nath Shukla is a distinguished anesthesiologist with over four decades of teaching and clinical experience, currently serving as Principal and Dean at Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh. He holds an MBBS and MD in Anesthesia from AFMC Pune and a PDCC in Pediatric Anesthesia from AIIMS, New Delhi. A retired Army Professor, Dr. Shukla has held significant academic and leadership positions at premier institutions such as AFMC Pune, AIIMS, CHSC Pune, and CHCC Lucknow, and has also served internationally in Uzbekistan, where he trained anesthesiologists at AKFA Medline and worked as a consultant. His contributions to medical academia include numerous publications in national and international indexed journals, participation in MCI/NMC inspections, and consistent involvement in undergraduate teaching programs.
As former Director of PG Studies at VAMC and now its Principal and Dean, Dr. Shukla emphasizes that medicine is not just a profession but a lifelong commitment to serve with compassion, integrity, and excellence.
He encourages students to remain curious, embrace continuous learning, and develop empathy and communication skills, reminding them that the heart of medicine lies in healing and human connection. He assures students of the institution's dedication to academic rigor, ethical values, and clinical training, and offers his unwavering support as they embark on their journey to becoming competent and compassionate doctors.

Rohilkhand Hospital, the teaching hospital affiliated with Varun Arjun Medical College, provides extensive medical services and clinical training under one roof. Hostel & Mess
M.B.B.S. course is completely residential. Separate hostels are provided for boys & girls within the campus. The rooms are well ventilated and are on twin sharing basis. Each student is provided with a cot, mattress, table, chair and almirah. Each Hostel has its own dinning hall, recreation room, visitor’s room & beautiful lush green lawns. Water purifier and water coolers are also provided in the mess to meet the requirement of students. In addition there is provison for air coolers in the hostel. The students are provided with breakfast, lunch, evening refreshment & dinner.
