Varun Arjun University Organizes Free Health Camp in Satnua Village, Serving 320 Patients

Varun Arjun University and Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur organized a Free Health Camp in Satnua village of the Nigohi region on Tuesday, July 21, 2026. The camp was aimed at providing accessible healthcare services to rural residents and spreading awareness about preventive health and regular medical check-ups.

A total of 320 patients registered at the camp and received free medical consultations from a team of specialist doctors. During screening, 4 patients were diagnosed with cataracts and have been referred for free cataract surgery at Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra.

Several free diagnostic services were also provided. Blood sugar tests were conducted for 80 patients and blood pressure screening was done for approximately 90 patients. In addition, 297 patients received free eye drops and essential medicines. Discount coupons for MRI, CT Scan, and other diagnostic investigations were distributed to patients who need further evaluation.

The medical team along with the Public Relations Office educated villagers on the importance of routine health check-ups. Information was also shared about the Family Health Card, which is available at the hospital for ₹200 and is valid for one year. Cardholders receive free OPD registration, an additional 20% discount on medicines and all diagnostic tests, and free admission files during hospitalization. They are also eligible for a 25% discount on general surgeries and a 10% discount on blood-related services when required.

The PRO further informed patients that the hospital provides free admission, free hospital beds, free nursing care, and free medical consultations. Advanced facilities including ICU, ventilator support, dialysis, MRI, CT Scan, ultrasound, affordable medicines, and all types of surgical services are available 24×7 at economical rates.

The camp received special support from Dayaram Maurya, Village Head. The medical team included Dr. Mansu Singh from Ophthalmology, Dr. Kush Patel from General Medicine, Dr. Hamid David from Orthopedics, Dr. Shekhar from Pediatrics, Dr. Mridula Chauhan from Obstetrics & Gynecology, Dr. Madeha Umar from Dentistry, along with Medical College PRO Atul Gangwar and dedicated paramedical staff.
