ree

On December 1, 2025, Varun Arjun Medical College, Rohilkhand Hospital, and Paramedical College united in Shahjahanpur’s Banthra for a transformative World AIDS Day campaign, shattering HIV myths and championing compassion. This wasn’t just awareness—it was a rallying cry against fear, discrimination, and inaction, echoing the global theme “Overcoming Disruption, Transforming the AIDS Response.”Paramedical students captivated crowds with a poignant street play, exposing unsafe sex, infected needles, and mother-to-child transmission while debunking myths: AIDS spreads via blood, semen, or breast milk—not air or touch. They proclaimed it a manageable viral infection via ART, urging condoms, clean needles, testing, and PrEP. Experts amplified the message: Dean Dr. R.N. Shukla hailed creative health education; Community Medicine Head Dr. Dharmendra Gupta called awareness the ultimate shield; Quality Officer Dr. Shivani Gupta affirmed “Life with HIV is possible with timely testing and support.” University leaders Dr. Ashok Kumar Agrawal, VC Dr. Kiran Agrawal, and Pro-VC Dr. Lekhraj Verma vowed ongoing campaigns toward NACO’s 2030 AIDS-free India.Dr. Danish’s auditorium seminar empowered students with scientific insights on symptoms, treatment, and NACO guidelines. A grand rally saw youth form a massive human red ribbon—a soaring symbol of solidarity—followed by thunderous slogans: “AIDS isn’t the end, awareness is key!” Pamphlets flooded homes, free testing camps built trust, and RHTC/UHTC sessions reached communities. Cultural performances culminated in a collective oath against stigma. This powerhouse initiative proves education ignites change—building a stigma-free, resilient India. Join the fight: Test, Treat, Transform!
