World Health Day 2026: Varun Arjun University Organizes Health Awareness Program

Varun Arjun University, Banthra–Shahjahanpur, through its Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, organized a large-scale and impactful program on April 7, 2026, to mark World Health Day. Led by the Community Medicine Department, the initiative focused on spreading awareness about healthy lifestyles, hygiene, nutrition, exercise, and vaccination. The program began with an awareness session in the hospital waiting area, where Dr. Dharmendra Kumar Gupta (Head of Department) emphasized that “health is the real wealth.” He was joined by Dr. Purva Sur and Dr. Charandeep Singh Dua, who provided practical guidance to patients and their attendants. Nursing students also showcased creative posters on themes like “Our Health, Our Future” and mental health, promoting preventive healthcare in an engaging manner.

The awareness campaign further extended to RHTC Katra and UHTC Shahjahanpur, where Prof. Dr. Ajay Agrawal and Dr. Hitika addressed rural and urban communities, focusing on hygiene, nutrition, and disease prevention. The program was strengthened by the presence of experts including Dr. Intkhab Alam, Dr. Vinayak H. Kashyap, Dr. Shivani Gupta, Dr. Aditya Prakash Singh, Dr. Atul Saxena, and Dr. Waqar, who guided students and shared their expertise. The university leadership—Dr. Keshav Kumar Agrawal (Chancellor), Dr. Ashok Kumar Agrawal (Pro-Chancellor), and Dr. Kiran Agrawal (Vice-Chancellor)—praised the initiative and its impact. Overall, the event evolved into a meaningful movement, encouraging community participation and reinforcing the importance of individual responsibility toward health.
