Webcast Session on the Use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in Medical Education at Varun Arjun Medical College

A webcast session on the topic “Use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in Medical Education” was organized on March 14, 2026, from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, under Varun Arjun University. This program was organized as per the instructions issued by the Directorate of Medical Education and Training (DGME), Uttar Pradesh, which is part of a series of weekly online sessions on the use of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in medical education.
The session was conducted by experts from the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences, Saifai, and was viewed through the Zoom platform. A large number of faculty members, senior resident doctors, postgraduate students, and MBBS undergraduate students participated in the program and showed deep interest in the emerging technological advancements in medical education.
The program was attended by Dr. P. S. Pawar, Medical Superintendent; Dr. Santhana Krishnan, Vice-Principal; Dr. Santham Sampath, Professor and HOD, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology; Dr. Poornima S. Bhat, Professor, Department of ENT; Dr. Amit Singh, Deputy Medical Superintendent; Dr. Bharat Kumar, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmacology; and Mr. Lalit Chauhan, Administrative Officer, along with MBBS students.
During the webcast, speakers highlighted the growing importance of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in modern medical education and clinical practice. The discussion included important topics such as AI-assisted learning tools, the use of AI in clinical decision-making, research analysis, and the role of AI in improving diagnostic accuracy and evidence-based medical practice. This session helped participants understand how emerging AI technologies can empower teaching methodologies in the medical field and encourage effective learning.
This program was appreciated by the leadership of Varun Arjun University, including Dr. Keshav Agarwal, Chancellor; Dr. Ashok Agarwal, Pro-Chancellor; Dr. Kiran Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor; and Dr. Lata Agarwal, Vice-Chancellor, Bareilly International University. Academic support for the organization of the program was provided by Dr. (Colonel) R. N. Shukla, Dean and Principal, Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital.
The session concluded successfully and proved to be an important and informative initiative towards raising awareness about the role of AI (Artificial Intelligence) in medical education.
