Varun Arjun University Reinforces Commitment to Holistic Development, Celebrates International Day of Yoga 2026 with Enthusiasm

On the occasion of the 12th International Day of Yoga 2026, Varun Arjun University, Banthra-Shahjahanpur, organized a series of activities under the theme “Yoga for Healthy Ageing.” The celebrations reflected the University’s commitment to holistic development and aimed to promote physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being through yoga.

Students and faculty members from various constituent colleges of Varun Arjun University enthusiastically participated in the programme and performed various Yoga Asanas and Pranayama techniques, highlighting yoga as a way of life that fosters harmony, mindfulness, and healthy ageing.

The celebrations featured Slogan Writing and Rangoli Competitions with active participation from students across different faculties. In the Varun Arjun College of Pharmacy Slogan Writing Competition, Avneesh Verma secured first place with the sloganHar Din Yog, Har Din Nirog” (Yoga Every Day, Healthy Every Day). Prakash Vishwas won second place for “Yoga Apnao, Swasth Jeevan Pao,” while Lucky Singh secured third place with “Yoga for Health, Yoga for Life.”

In the Varun Arjun College of Nursing Slogan Competition, Mansi Devi won first place, followed by Julie Rathore in second place and Iram Bano in third. The Nursing College team comprising Khushreen, Ekta, Rudra, Satyam, Nutan Pal, and Soumya secured first place in the Rangoli Competition, while the College of Pharmacy team won second place.

Addressing the participants, Dr. Ravindra Nath Shukla, Dean and Principal, Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, emphasized that yoga is an integral component of holistic education and healthy living. Dr. Anil Kumar Pal, Deputy Registrar, highlighted yoga’s role in combating stress and lifestyle diseases. Yoga Instructor Lalit Kumar Chauhan and Er. Sachin Chauhan emphasized yoga’s significance in creating harmony and achieving holistic well-being.

The event concluded with the felicitation of winners and a collective pledge to embrace yoga as a way of life and contribute towards building a healthier and more balanced society.
