NUKKAD NATAK ON NEP 2020 INITIATIVES ORGANIZED AT VARUN ARJUN UNIVERSITY, SHAHJAHANPUR

To spread awareness about the major initiatives of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020, a vibrant and engaging Nukkad Naatak was organized under the banner of Varun Arjun University, Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh, on 14th November 2025. The event was presented by the students of Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital (VAMC & RH) and witnessed enthusiastic participation from both students and faculty.
The program was spearheaded by NEP Coordinator Dr. Poornima S. Bhat, Professor, Department of ENT, in collaboration with NEP SAARTHI Krishna Gupta. The street play was creatively directed by Dr. Souvik Chakraborty (Intern), with co-direction by Chetana Gupta, a 3rd-year MBBS student.
Several students delivered impactful performances, with leading roles played by Amrutesh Anand Kulkarni, Moglan Priyadarshi Khobragade, Ashin Jose, and Supriyanjali Gangwar, all from 2nd MBBS. Their energetic and expressive acting captured the audience’s attention and effectively conveyed NEP concepts in a simplified and engaging manner. The Nukkad Naatak highlighted multiple key components of NEP 2020, including the Academic Bank of Credits (ABC), APAAR ID, Multiple Entry and Exit System, the SWAYAM portal, Skill-based Training, and the role of NEP SAARTHIs in promoting educational transformation. Through humor, relatable dialogues, and real-life situations, the students successfully spread awareness on how these initiatives empower learners and reshape the education ecosystem.The initiative received heartfelt appreciation from the esteemed patrons—Hon’ble Chancellor of Varun Arjun University, Dr. Keshav Agarwal; Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Ashok Agarwal; Vice Chancellor of Bareilly International University, Dr. Lata Agarwal; and Vice Chancellor of Varun Arjun University, Dr. Kiran Agarwal—who applauded the dedication and creativity of the students in promoting NEP 2020 awareness. Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. L. R. Verma and Deputy Registrar Dr. Anil Pal also appreciated the commendable teamwork and planning involved in organizing the event. Dean & Principal, Dr. (Col.) R. N. Shukla, expressed high appreciation for the NEP Cell’s initiative and lauded the efforts of the students and faculty in spreading awareness about NEP 2020 reforms through such an innovative and impactful medium.The event marked a significant step in enhancing awareness about NEP 2020 among medical students and the community, showcasing the enthusiasm, creativity, and commitment of the students of Varun Arjun University, Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh.
