Free Health Camp Benefits 479 Patients in Kotha Khetal Village, Shahjahanpur

Varun Arjun University, in collaboration with Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, organized a free health camp on Sunday, June 28, 2026, at Kotha Khetal village in the Khudaganj area. The camp received an overwhelming response from the local community, with a total of 479 patients registering for medical consultation and treatment.

During the camp, eight patients were diagnosed with cataracts and will undergo free cataract surgery at Varun Arjun Medical College and Rohilkhand Hospital, Banthra. In addition, 95 patients received free blood sugar testing, while approximately 115 patients underwent free blood pressure screening. The medical team also distributed free eye drops and medicines to 395 patients. Discount coupons for MRI, CT scans, and other diagnostic investigations were also provided.

The hospital’s medical team and Public Relations Officer (PRO) educated villagers about the importance of regular health check-ups and introduced the Family Health Card, available for ₹200with a validity of one year. Cardholders are entitled to free OPD registration, an additional 20% discount on medicines and diagnostic tests, free admission files during hospitalization, 25% discount on routine surgeries, and 10% discount on blood requirements.

The PRO further informed participants that the hospital offers free admission, free beds, free nursing care, and free medical consultations. Affordable 24-hour healthcare services, including surgeries, ICU, ventilator support, dialysis, MRI, CT scan, ultrasound, and other advanced medical facilities, are also available.

The camp was made successful with the valuable support of local social workers Brahmanand Sharma, Suresh Chandra Shastri, Gyanendra Sharma, and Satendra Sharma. The medical team included Dr. Raghav (Ophthalmology), Dr. Tahir (General Medicine), Dr. Dixit Savasani (Orthopedics), Dr. Khushboo (Pediatrics), Dr. Mridula Chauhan (Obstetrics & Gynecology), along with PRO Mr.Vipin Sharma and the paramedical staff.
