Varun Arjun Medical College, under Varun Arjun University, Banthra, Shahjahanpur, successfully organized a two-day guest lecture on December 13, 2025, at its Central Auditorium. The session focused on advanced and affordable techniques in spine surgery and was designed for physicians, postgraduate students, and healthcare professionals. The keynote presentation was delivered by Dr. Shekhar Bhojraj, Senior Director (Orthopedics) at Breach Candy Hospital and Founder of The Spine Foundation, Mumbai. Accompanying him were renowned spine experts Dr. Premik Nagad and Dr. Ankur Gupta, who also contributed to the discussion.
The inaugural ceremony began with the traditional lamp lighting and Saraswati Vandana. Dr. (Col.) Ravindra Nath Shukla, Principal and Dean of Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital, warmly welcomed the guests and highlighted the institution’s commitment to academic excellence and global medical learning.During his lectures—“The Journey Beyond Spine Surgery!” and “The Excitement of Social and Community Medicine!”—Dr. Bhojraj elaborated on modern spine care innovations, holistic patient management, and the significance of preventive and community-based healthcare services. He also interacted with faculty and residents during a hospital tour, appreciating facilities like the Anatomage Table in the Anatomy Department. The event was efficiently coordinated and anchored by Dr. Archit Saxena, Head of the Orthopedics Department. Key participants included Dr. Prasad (Associate Professor, Anatomy), Dr. Intekhab Chand Alam (Professor, Community Medicine), Dr. Bobade (Head, Dermatology), Dr. Arjit Singh (Neurosurgeon), Dr. Adil, Dr. Manoj, and administrative officers Lalit Kumar Chauhan and Sachin Chauhan (Media & Marketing In-charge).
The program concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Shukla and commendations from university leaders—Dr. Keshav Agrawal (Chancellor), Dr. Ashok Agrawal (Pro-Chancellor), and Dr. Kiran Agrawal (Vice-Chancellor)—who praised the event as a milestone in promoting medical education and social healthcare awareness in the region.
