A Day of Smiles and Fun: Children’s Day 2025 Celebrated at Varun Arjun Medical College

Children’s Day 2025 was celebrated with joy and enthusiasm on 14th November at the Department of Pediatrics, Varun Arjun Medical College & Rohilkhand Hospital (VAMC & RH), Shahjahanpur, Uttar Pradesh under Varun Arjun University. The event witnessed active participation from the children of faculty and staff members, along with several pediatric patients who attended with their parents. The celebration featured a range of enjoyable activities including fun games, cultural performances, singing, dancing, poem recitation, shlokas, and Rubik’s cube solving, all of which highlighted the talent and enthusiasm of the children. A general health checkup was conducted by the Pediatrics team, and health-awareness tips were shared in a child-friendly manner. Light and cheerful moments—dance moves, friendly competition during games, and proud parents capturing photographs—added warmth to the program.

The initiative received heartfelt appreciation from Hon’ble Chancellor of Varun Arjun University, Dr. Keshav Agarwal; Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Ashok Agarwal; Vice Chancellor of Bareilly International University, Dr. Lata Agarwal; and Vice Chancellor of Varun Arjun University, Dr. Kiran Agarwal. Dean & Principal, Dr. (Col.) R. N. Shukla, commended the efforts of the team, while Head of the Department of Pediatrics, Dr. S. K. Roy, emphasized the significance of celebrating children and nurturing their well-being. Senior faculty members including Associate Professor Dr. Avinash Lukade, Dr. Bhushan Gupta, and Dr. Alok Singh actively participated and encouraged the children.

The event also saw the presence of many members including Dr. Amit Singh (Deputy MS), Administrative Officer Mr. Lalit Chauhan, Dr. Dharmender Gupta (Professor & HOD, Community Medicine), Dr. Shivani Gupta (NABH Coordinator), Dr. Poornima S. Bhat (Professor, ENT), Dr. Bikash Gairola (Professor, Pharmacology), Dr. Reetika Gairola, and Dr. Intekhab Alam (Professor, Community Medicine). Creative posters prepared by intern doctors added further color and educational value to the event. Special acknowledgment goes to PG Resident Dr. Rishika Kumawat, who meticulously organized the event with the support of fellow PG residents and intern doctors. The celebration successfully blended fun, awareness, and togetherness, reflecting the Pediatrics Department’s commitment to the holistic well-being of children at Varun Arjun University.
